Hi, nice to see you!

I am a tenor- and bass trombone player from Norway, currently living in Sømna, Norway. I am teaching and conducting in Sømna and Vega. I am available for horn sections, section rehearsals, Orchestral Projects, bigbands and much more!

Since I started playing trombone at 10 in Sømna (NO), I have been living in Mosjøen (NO), Gothenburg (SE) and finally in Bern (CH). It can be difficult to put myself in a box when it comes to what i play and what i do with my time - I really enjoy playing in classical orhcestras, but playing in a pop horn section in front of a big and happy crowd is just as enjoyable. And what about bigbands? And the look in a 11 year old’s face when they learn something new? And not to forget - standing in front of a wind orchestra? Or arranging?

I have my Bachelors degree from University of Gothenburg, where I had the great pleasure of learning about the trombone from Ingemar Roos and Jens Kristian Sögaard. At the time of my studies, I got the opportunity to play in various great ensembles, such as the Göteborg Wind orchestra, Bohuslän Bigband and Gothenburg opera. Check them out! Had a great time in Sweden, no doubt.

I was able to do my Master Performance in the Hochschule der Künste Bern, with Ian Bousfield as my teacher. That was life changing - not just for my trombone playing, but also as a human being. I was surrounded by great musicians every day, and that just does something with you. At the same time I did a Praktikum in the Theater Orchester Biel Solothurn, playing from time to time with Swiss Jazz Orchestra, and enjoying my newfound love for free improvisation.

I did my Master in Music Pedagogy at the same school - this time with Rex Martin, Bernhard Bamert and Samuel Blaser as my teachers. What a great bunch of teachers i’ve met! In the years of my pedagogy studies I got to do another Praktikum, this time in Berner Sinfonieorchester, as well as starting conducting Musikgesellschaft Toffen (wind band) and freelancing around Switzerland (and a bit in Norway!).

In 2022 I lived in Norway to teach and conduct in my hometown, but I also got the opportunity to play in the Oslo Jazz ensemble, Euroradio Jazz Orchestra and Trondheim Symfoniorkester, which I enjoyed to the fullest.

From February 2023 until July 2025 i was back in Switzerland, playing in different ensembles, teaching and conducting. The highlights include;

2023 Playing in the horn section of Kunz in summer festivals in Switzerland.
2024 Starting in and playing in Unglaublech <3
2025 Subbing in Basel Sinfonietta and Argovia Philharmonic.

.. and of course teaching trombone in MSR Thun, MSR Wohlen and MS Worblental Kiesental.

Now, new challenges in Norway awaits. First getting used to the new situation, and then full speed ahead!

And then i knit. A lot! If you need gloves or a hat - you know who to call!
